Latest Update in Response to Covid-19

Coronavirus Response

October 24, 2020

Dear Legacy Church Family,

While we initially moved all activities of the church online motivated by love for our neighbor, we now believe that it necessary to resume gathering together again. We are gathering in person for worship as we continue to do our best to be faithful to scripture first and foremost while honoring the God given civil authorities that he has established. Our Sunday worship services are essential to our life together as a community. We gather as imperfect people, to recieve grace from a perfect God, and respond in worship. We need grace so we gather to engage with God as we worship together.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (Hebrews 10:24-25, ESV)

We believe that God is leading us to continually be moving in the direction of emphasizing of the importance of the physical gathering as a local church family.

Sunday Worship Gatherings

We are currently gathering in person for two worship services at 9am and 11am each Sunday.

9am Worship Gathering - We recommend wearing face coverings but will not discriminate against those who choose not to whether for health or convictional reasons. Note: not everyone will be wearing a face covering at this service.

11am Worship Gathering - We encourage those who are immunocompromised to attend the 11am service where face coverings are required and a greater effort is made towards social distancing.

Streaming Online - We encourage those who are symptom free to join us in person for worship. However, if you are high risk because of age or have underlying health conditions and it is unwise for you to attend in person at this time, we are continuing to stream the service via facebook live for you on the Legacy Church facebook page.

Things to know about attending the worship gatherings

  • We are currently not offering any kids discipleship classes, including nursery. Parents are encuraged to come prepared with coloring pages, notes, or other quiet activities to help children engage in the service as much as possible in an age appropriate way.

  • There will be hand sanitizer stations located at the entrance and throughout the building.

  • Only one person will be allowed in the restroom at a given time.

  • There will be no paper bulletins.

  • We will be using individually packaged communion elements to be as sanitary as possible.

  • The worship leader and preacher will not be wearing a face covering while leading worship or preaching but will be over 10' away from the first row of chairs.

  • Seating will be spread out more than usual.

  • There will be no coffee or refreshments. Feel free to bring your coffee with you.

  • There will be no meet and greet time in the service.

Thank you for extending grace to both the leaders and to one another as we walk together through this challenging time. In you have any questions please email us at

If you have been staying away, we encourage you to prayerfully consider what it will look like for you to begin to re-engage in community life together. We love you and look forward to worshiping our King Jesus together as a family of disciples this Sunday.
